Emily Prudente
Emily C. Prudente, Esq. is an associate at Kristensen Law PLLC. Her practice focuses on matrimonial and family law, and covers litigation, mediation, and post-judgment matters and appeals.
Emily began her legal career in Fairfield County, Connecticut, where she represented clients at a preeminent matrimonial law firm and handled complex, high-asset family law litigation and divorce mediations. Prior to joining Kristensen Law, Emily practiced at a boutique matrimonial and family law firm in Westchester County.
Emily is a published co-author in the New York Law Journal in the bourgeoning field of embryo custody and disposition in the context of New York divorce matters and was a co-presenter at a CLE seminar offering guidance for family law practitioners navigating the intricate medical-legal realm of artificial reproductive technology and the law.
Emily earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from Cornell University, where she was a Presidential Research Scholar, and a Juris Doctor degree from Syracuse University College of Law. During law school, she was a Clerk at the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department, in the Decisions Department, and was Lead Articles Editor for the Syracuse Science and Technology Law Reporter.
Emily is a member of the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, the Domestic Relations and Family Section of the Westchester County Bar Association, and the Fairfield County Bar Association.
Emily is admitted to practice in both New York State and Connecticut.
